Best HS running back ever?

I don't know who the best ever was but the best that I've ever seen in High School was Garry James at West Jeff.

He had John David Crow, a Heisman winner, at the same time. It was also an era of limited substitution, and iron man football.

Wait to you get a look at Fred Taylor's son. BeastMode. I know its early but when you see this kid in person you will believe. He shined at the Tenn. camp and one guy said he might have been the best back there. 5-11 210 lbs. freshman.

Best I remember see play was Travis minor. Honestly.
That dude was sick in high school.
I haven't Seen a ton, bit I saw Brandon Jacobs, labrandon tofield, Kevin Franklin, warrick dunn, mewelde Moore, Jermaine hatch, Kendrick shanklin and some others
Minor was the most impressive.
That sophomore for Westgate is gonna be a good one too

Coach Bryant made a defensive back out of him. Ken Hall was good enough to play several years for the Houston Oilers in the early days of the AFL. He retunred a few KO returns for TDs. Bryant said publicly that not letting Ken Hall was his biggest mistake as a coach.

Great to hear the opinions of people from the South. Up here in western we had a pretty good one in the early 70's - Tony Dorsett from Aliquippa near Pittsburgh.

Dorsett was 155 lbs in HS. We don't get the numbers of talented skills guys like you get in LA, the best skill player in the area since Dorsett has been Terrelle Pryor - who went to school at Jeannette which is 20 minutes from Pittsburgh.

Yes, late 70's for Marino. I guess I mean WR/RB type of athlete which was more what Pryor was doing. Western PA shares one thing in common with LA and that is turning out QB's - Namath, Marino, Montana just to start a quick list.
