This was probably already posted earlier but I searched and found nothing. Even though you already know the story of Edwards, I was looking at the fan responses and its unbelievable.
Target
This one was interesting:

I was amazed they didn't level Brees a few times in the game. Hockey has their goons, baseball has the brush back, Vikes should have brought in a 3rd string DE and broke his leg.Funny, Saints talk about their defense. They didn't sack Favre once, not a single time.
Bottom line, the NFL wanted the Saints to win. The Vikings and the refs gave the Saints a gift. The Colts gave them another. You know it, I know it, the whole planet knows it...The Vikings were the best team in the NFL this past year. Shoot! The Cowboys have a better team than the Saints. Hey New Orleans, enjoy your gift wrapped Katrina contribution from the NFL
We all know it's phony

First, defensive end Ray Edwards(notes), via The Huddle.
"Taking those hits that he took I wish I would have known that they did that because I don't really watch the offense," Edwards told KFAN-radio. "I would have sure done the same thing to Brees because that wasn't right."
Did the Saints even get flagged once for hitting Favre in that game? You want to hit Brees legally go for it. God the Vikings are a bunch of whiners.

I'm soooo sick of the Katrina remarks from Vikings fans and everyone else. Maybe they should all just go stand on a bridge in Minneapolis and jump. Better yet, just stand on a bridge and wait for the frickin thing to collapse. frick em all. They want war, lets give em war!
What the frick do thay play?.....flag football up there? I think the cold and snow have gotten to those pussies!

I guess that being snowed in for half the year makes people VERY bitter.

It's alright... let them "try to hit the quarterback" again. They couldn't do shite to Brees the first time around.
We'll gladly welcome them over to kick their arse again.
Like we're afraid of the fricking runners-up.

did greg williams really say in an interview that he did not care about late hits and personal fouls as long as the qb did not get up?
Did he really say that?
Although we all know coaches tell players to rip their heads off during practice, thats one thing. But if he said that in a national interview, that is just wrong.

no, he said something along the lines of "I know what you want me to say. You want me to say that we'll hit the quarterback hard" and people just misquoted from him and ran away with it from there

Success has enemies my friends. You all knew this was coming from those sore arse losers. Saints are the best team in the NFL. If the Viqueens were better, they wouldn't have fumbled 5 times or had twelve men in the huddle at that critical point. They're incompetent and had no business playing in the Super Bowl.

Every true football fan knows the Minnesota Vikings are the biggest choke artists in the League when it comes to Championship football. I am surprised he still hasn't learned that by now.
