Adderall Dr's

Anyone know of a sure thing doctor that prescribes Adderall? I am back in school and am finding it even harder than before to stay focused on my studies. I know Adderall helps me with this issue because I used to take it (unprescribed) for study purposes back in the day. TIA!

That is not an option anymore. In my younger days I would and did, but now I have too much riding on my job. I work full time along with going to school PT and also have two kids and a wife that is in school PT so alot is going on and I would hate to loose my job over taking Adderall w/o a script!

re: Adderall Dr's
I took several of the online tests and did alot of reading on adult add. I was scatter brained and all over the place and couldn't get anything finished. I could start alot of stuff, but never really finish anything. A good friend of mine had the same issues and recommended I do some online research. I went to my regular doc, explained all of this to him. He asked me a few questions and gave me a prescription. I have been on them for 2 years. For all that are going to say add is all made up, etc, that is fine. Whatever works for you, but for me, my paycheck depends on what I get done at work and the adderall helps. Hope this helps.

ETA: I am 32, not in college, and never abused them or took them without a script prior to being prescribed them.

Why not get a real doctor to evaluate whether or not you need it. It may be that you just aren't cut out for school or you are too busy and can't prioritize. Adderall can't help that.

How much weight did you lose?

I lost about 35 - 40 lbs, but as I've gotten used to them, I have gained most of that back. They still help mentally, but not so much on curbing the appetite.

re: Adderall Dr's
I switched over to Adderall a few years ago and can tell you that it can be a wonder drug as far as productivity is concerned. It does work but I found add to be more habit forming than others I have tried. Noticed that I would get a little testy when I wasn't taking it (I usually don't like to take it on the weekends).

Also, stay away from the stratera (sp.). That stuff is horrible. It takes several weeks to get acclimated to and it made me sleep ungodly amounts. My doctor later told me that is very normal and most people don't take it for that reason.

I've been on Strattera for several years now and it still gets me sleepy. Still better than Ritalin, which I had to take as a kid.
