Yeah, this is my first post. I'm in the Air Force and usually read this board all day, just never get around to posting. I've been following on here for a while, although I'll still probably get flamed.

But to the subject, is Lucy's in New Orleans a good place to watch the game at? I'm pretty sure that's where I will be with some friends, I just wanted to get some of yall's opinions. Thanks.

Good bar, wouldn't say its a good place to watch a football game though. Gets crowded, very limited seating.

It's only cool when Shockey's able to show up to party post-game. Since he won't be able to do so after this game, I'd probably try to find a more comfortable place to watch the SB.

Good luck.

Pretty good place to meet chicks. Probably pretty horrible for a game. It gets VERY, VERY crowded.

HAHA Yeah, Barksdale is correct.

Also, isn't there an upstairs part to Lucy's? Thats where I am told that we will be. With projectors and shite.

This. There aren't that many TVs either. More of an after game place, assuming you can deal with the massive crowds. They may project the game on the wall accross the street, though. Not as quite as cool as it sounds, but you'd at least be able to watch while possibly having some breathing room.

Yeah, there's an upstairs room. Is this like a private party?

No, its not a private party. Definitely not a private party, the military doesnt pay enough for me to be going to anything private for the superbowl

Maybe they're changing it for the SB, but upstairs typically isn't open to the public.

if you're serious about the game, watch in your hotel room and party after.

hmm.. I was just told we have to get there early enough to put our name on the list to get a table. Weird shite. Anyways, I'm assuming no one on here has been up there then for a game.

First welcome to TD and thank you for service to defend liberty and freedom! Lucy's is not a bad place to watch the game b/c the project it against a building next to their bar. However, it will be very crowded down there despite it being blocked off. It will be fun but very crowded.
