"I'm done," Daly said. When asked what he was done with, Daly responded, "with golf."
"I just can't do it anymore," Daly continued when pressed by a GOLF CHANNEL producer, who was on hand to film Daly for his reality show, "Being John Daly," with the network. "I'm tired of embarrassing myself."
I can't keep taking spots from guys out here playing this bad," said Daly, who missed the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii in his only other action on TOUR this year.
When told he could return for the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Daly responded, "No, I'm not going to take that spot away from anybody, either."
"I just can't do it anymore," he reiterated.

I saw him at Castle Pines in '91 after he won the PGA Championship. At 7,000 feet he hit it out of sight. Had a hell of a short game to boot.
Unfortunately he drank and gambled it all away.

Oh, I just thought you were copying me. Apparently I'm not the only one who realizes what a loss this will be.

I would say you should put ol' John back up in your avatar, but unfortunately you lost a crappy bet involving your crappy team and therefore I have to look at Sanchez' airbrushed situation

Well, it has been a long time since a Bengal that didn't die was in the news for something off the field.
And yes, Shayne Graham should be the DD for fricking life. He'd probably miss exits like he misses kicks though. fricking ginger.

The man has won multiple majors. I would not call that a waste.
