IMO no. Especially if they have the potential #1 recruiting class waiting in the wings as predicted.

if they were like 3-5 or 4-6, absolutely. it would be critical to be the first "great" college job on the market for agents to start communicating with Alleva so that we can make sure we have access to all of the possible candidates.

Absolutely not! This isn't the NFL.

Regardless of next season's record, Miles will be the coach in 2011. Les has a long term contract with very generous roll over clauses that will keep him here unless he choses to leave.

i disagree. the big wigs in taf as well as the fanbase in general is growing very restless. remember that miles is not an alleva hire. anything less than 8 wins, he is guaranteed gone. with 8 wins, it will depend on how competitive we were in the losses and if there are any coaching blunders that lead to losses.

No. It's clear that LSU is following the same failed policy it always does. We are going to let a crappy coach stay as long as it takes to completely destroy the program before we finally cut him loose. Being overly lenient with coaches has always been our biggest weakness. Name one LSU football coach who has taken our program through a downturn and then turned it around and taken us back into the elite. There isn't one.

If I had the money, I would pay Jeremy Foley a billion dollars to be the LSU athletic director for one year...hell, one month. Just long enough to fire Miles and hire his replacement.

And we're not Florida or Alabama, either...unfortunately.

Pointless and foolish speculation.
