What LSU really needs is a quarterback coach.

Long time lurker here…I wanted to post this before this board closes. The person for the job should be Mike Bajakian, the new offensive coordinator of Cincinnati. He is an old friend of mine. He is smart, an excellent teacher, and is very disciplined. He would make the difference at that position. With the coaching changes that may be on the horizon next year, I think he should get the first look. Don't be surprised if this guy ends up being the next Saban or Meyer in 5 to 10 years.

I : kige : this, but the problem is a "QB coach" in the college ranks is not exactly a terminal position. So the minute you have a successful QB coach at the college level, you no longer have a QB coach.

This is why you need an ex-QB at the head coach or OC position who can really teach fundamentals and mental preparedness.

Gonz will probably be the primary QB coach since he will be passing coordinator.

QB coach would help alot, but a better OL coach would exponentially improve all aspects of this offense.

Depends what the situation is...may be that quarterback coach for an elite SEC school is better than OC at cincinnatti, but then again maybe not. Either way, he is a hell of a quarterbacks coach and is destined for big time college coaching ranks. Would love to see what he could do at LSU.

that's really what I was asking, more or less. I think OC/ QBs at Cincy is a better gig, especially if he aspires to greater things. being just QBs is a step backward IMO.
