I don't get why all these people in the media are using the last 3 losses against us.. and basically giving the Saints no credit..

First off the Saints won what 13 straight games before losing to what everyone is saying is the the hottest team in all of football.. if not the best team right now.. and as bad as that game was we still had a chance to win the game in the end.. Just imagine now we are full strength.. I take nothing away from Dallas they deserved to win..

Then we lost to Tampa.. a divisional opponent we previously beaten.. Yeah Tampa sucks and all, but I believe they made Green Bay look even worse.. but everyone was all over the Packers to beat Arizona.. ( I picked the cards to win.. for this very reason.. no one gave them a chance )

Third they continue to include the Carolina game in all these statistics about how poor our offense has been.. when Brees didn't even play a single snap.. I've even seen commentators that included stats from all of our three loses.. then go and brag about how great Arizona has been offensively except if you take out one game..

The Saints are coming off much needed rest and have had time to regroup.. This is HUGE for this squad. Remember how great we looked in the beginning of the season.. and even during the season when we came off the BYE.. something everyone was concerned about in years past with Coach Payton.

I personally think some fans/viewers/critics under estimate the value that resting players can have on a team.

I'm expecting a very fresh and determined team to show up saturday and play the hardest football we've ever seen as saints fans.

Not to mention we clearly let up in the second half vs. Tampa. PT wanted to play and Payton wouldn't let him.

The only issue here is if not having won in a while creates any mental or moral issues. And with the guys on this team, I think absolutely not.

True. But the wins over the Skins and Falcons prior to the Dallas game weren't exactly impressive. I think both were 3pt games and the Skins game was a fluke win for Saints due to missed field goal. The most recent impressive win for the Saints was against the Pats but you have to go all the way back to the month of November. On top of that the Pats weren't nearly as good as previous years so looking back now that win gets watered down a bit.

I think the dismantling of the Patriots is something that shouldn't have happened considering the defensive injuries we had. That McKenzie interception was just huge. That's why they've discounted the absence of Greer and Porter, they've only watched the marquee games and don't know any better. Anyone who's followed the team closely knows the defense wasn't even close to the same after those two went down.
