Do we really have a shot at him and do we want him?

He was planning a visit before the UT shite went down. Looking at it from that angle I would say yes, but you never know.

Per Farrell on the rivals main board its USC/LSU and possibly WVU; We get a visit and we can make a strong case!

The word on Ambles is that he's got some kind of baggage.

I think if we're interested, he's interested. How interested both parties are is the question imo.

Most of the baggage stuff is junk e.g. he said he wouldn't be seen dead wearing addida and yet he committed to UT ad theres a big picture on rivals of him in an adidas hoody

Im starting to think him and Prater maybe a package, and both go to USC

Reading he might be a character problem. Judging by that picture shown at one point...he definitely looked like it with all those gang signs and tats he had...

Had to represent his colors.

He is a 5 star talent. I read his profile on rivals and it says he isn't a hard worker, but has the potential to be an All American

I'd rather stick with our current board of Reed, Wright, Fobbs, and Boone than take a chance on Ambles. Those four are all not much less talented and they don't carry the baggage.

to USC

I dont know about that.

Tenn: It looks like Tenn. wont be the place. Too much change, no certainty about the future of the program and not much time left till signing day.

USC: I look at USC and see Robert Woods #1 WR, Kyle Prater #2 WR. Not sure Ambles would want to take a chance in that battle considering the talent already in place at USC. Then you add the NCAA investigation. Sounds risky. Then again the fact that kiffin told him not to disclose their conversation and he actually listened to them says to me maybe something is brewing.

Others: Florida was once on the top of his list. Alabama was also a strong player at one time. He visited the West Coast to see USC, Cal, and UCLA. He also listed Oklahoma early on in the process as a player.

LSU: You look at LSU's history with WRs. The NFL Wrs. B. Gonzales now at LSU (who recruited him at Florida) and his history with WRs. Then you add Frank Wilson who was at Tenn. and helping recruit Ambles. Then throw in the fact that we only signed 1 WR last year and currently have only 1 WR so far this year and I think LSU really stands a chance to secure this kid.

You act like these kids who don't already know where they are going to school are logical when they choose, when really they'll talk to some family members and then pray about it.

Its a good point. The only argument I have is that I am sure these facts are being pointed out by our recruiters. This thing should get fun over the next few weeks. Another fiasco NSD.

The kids don't make it fun, but the analysis and hopes sure do!

Even though I think that Ambles is a better athlete, I'd rather have Boone. Either way, it will come down to who BG and the others want to use. *cough* FOBBS AND WRIGHT *cough*

Ambles has major character issues. You can hope that these young guys can turn it around, but there is no doubt this kid has alot of baggage. We shall see what the coaches think.

Can anyone on this board explain what this means. What baggage does he have. What source gave this info. Link. Anything. I keep hearing this baggage thing but nobody elaborates.

I'd personally rather have Davis.I don't know why but i like Davis' game better.Ambles was turned down by Florida and USC because of character issues.Don't know what they are but that is why both backed off.

Ambles is a supremely talented guy but it's all going to hinge on how bad he wants it, imo.

He has superstar upside if he puts in the work.

Ambles caught everything thrown his way in the All American game. I was impressed with his ability.
