not censoring "shite" they've been saying it non-stop on blue mountain state and entourage tonight i thought "shite" was in the censor zone

They can say frick if they want to. They just chose not to. Its self-regulatory unless something has changed.

cable channels can say "frick" at 2 p.m. if they want to...they are not regulated by FCC...they choose not alot of times because afraid of sponsors pulling ads and such....sponsorship censor cable...hell...cable can show nipple if they really knew sponsors would stay by them.

This. They passed this law like 10 years ago. They almost allow anything short of porn on cable between 11-4 CST I think.
Why you think all of the girls gone wild commericals are on late night but pretty much never play in the day.

True...I think all of the channels follow the same rules though, even if it isn't being enforced.
The only ones that don't are premium channels, which are pretty much exempt.

FCC only has control over basic channels (FOX, NBC, etc)
Cable companies are kinda like satellite radio....It is a paid service....but you have a free service that is censored if you don't find cable is up to your moral standards.
Same with Satellite..you have a free option...
but both cable and sat radio will set standards for each station depending on what sponors will get away with.
That's why certain channels have certain sponsors.
