That would be a strong candidate...

Perhaps Butch Davis gets another phone call?

Just wow!

I started a joke thread on the MSB about Miles going to Tennessee but it was whacked.

The name Jeff Fisher has been floated around a lot. It's a longshot, but with as long as he's been in Tennessee, it would be a good fit if he's ready to get out of the pro game.

I don't think Fisher wants to take a demotion. Tennessee needs someone who wants to stay there a while and build it back.

I think he'll be happy to stay at Tech. 2 good years there and he's gone.

As for UThug, Skip Holtz, Chris Petersen(long shot IMO), or a top assistant. Maybe Mullen?

That would be a very good hire, but did he burn any bridges when he left?

Actually

David Cutcliffe will be the the next Tennessee coach. He's everything they need right now. He would walk to Knoxville and he's a safe coach.

I'd be shocked if it were someone other than Cutcliffe

But seriously, don't be shocked if Petrino gets a call and strongly considers given his character as well.
