Whats the big deal about ratios?

Who cares how you got killed? Some of you seem to take MW2 to be a resume of some sort of self worth. Its just a game. If you want to be a riot shield punk or a noob tuber and you enjoy it so be it. At the end of the day all that really matters is if you got laid.

I like getting my k/d as high as possible because it means that more times than not, I am helping my team more than hurting them.
Also, just because I like a high k/d, why does that mean that I'm NOT having fun...??

Couldnt a person just kill 1 guy and go into hiding for the rest of the match and have a great ratio? Does that make them a great player?

Youre K/D must be below .50. Its all about bragging rights. And no I dont take it that serious, but having a K/D over 1.00 means I help my team more than I hurt them. If you want to continue going 2-5, 6-10 and 8-11 thats fine. I'll keep trying to repeat my 25-5, 22-5 and 22-0 games from Sunday night.
*My K/D is 1.6 but I have less than 4500 kills and the least amount of playing time out of people on my list who play on a regular basis. I dont always go +17, but 99% of the time positive.

Yes, and of course not.
If someone has a ratio of like 2.0, but they've only killed/died 20/10 times, then that doesn't really have much weight to it. But I've got people on my friends list who have like 16,000 kills versus 9,000 deaths. So yeah, that tells me they're a great player (especially in Deathmatch).

I get really mad when my k/d falls. In my mind if something keeps score, then it is a competition. I dont care if its who can piss the longest. I want to win. This is the only way to determine if you beat the majority of your opponents. Wins and losses dont count because you cant alway choose your team. It means I DO WORK SON

K/D Ratio speaks largely of how skilled of a player you are. You coming on here preaching to everyone not to worry about it hints to me that you probably suck major arse.

Wow some defensive people in here over their kill ratios.. lol Sounds like I struck a nerve. My point was that some of you obviously just need to put the controller down and get laid for a change. Many of you have proven my point. I have not been playing MW2 very long I think my ratio is something like .7 something. Of course I havent had time to learn all tha maps either. Its an enjoyable game but some of you act like WoW geeks with their 70+ level rankings. Its just pathetic.
