WTF??

LINK

Did The Advocate people even bother looking at the Ticket Exchange for the Saints on Ticketmaster?

Are the prices of non 600 lvl so high that it offsets the 120 price on those tickets?

Tickets for the New Orleans Saints game against the Arizona Cardinals, set for Saturday, are going for an average of $532, according to FanSnap, a ticket search engine.

By contrast, tickets for the New York Jets-San Diego Chargers game, in San Diego, average $302, while tickets for the Dallas Cowboys-Minnesota Vikings game in Minnesota are averaging $275. The average price for the Baltimore Raven-Indianapolis Colts game in Indianapolis is $259.

I will say this. Those numbers, at least insofar as they pertain to the Saints tickets, are skewed. While the "going rate" in certain sections varies $100-200 between the least expensive 80%, some jackasses (several in each section) have their tickets posted for well above that amount. For instance, in my section, there are tickets from $266-$450...then there are a good deal for $1000+.

Needless to say, the $1000+ aren't seeing that kind of quan, but it inflate the results of the search engine nonetheless.

I'm not saying this isn't the case for the other games...to be honest, I haven't looked.

Prices on an aftermarket site have nothing to do with tom benson. The price he is charging or the nfl is charging for this game is lower than the game in 2006- I had tickets then and now in the exact same seats (season ticket holder) and my playoff tickets in 2006 were $65 and this year that are $46

I think you are right.. Saints tickets are not that high if you want to go. The numbers are just screwed by some people that will sell the tickets if you are willing to put up $$$$$ for them but they will never get that money so they will just go to the game. However I think the 120 to get decent 600 lvl seats is actually very cheap for a playoff game. Im shocked that the article never mentions this.

That is just crazy.

Looked at Ticketexchange on Ticketmaster and there are over 6000 tickets for sale and at least 20% of them are on sale for over $1,000 a piece. What they need to find out from Stubhub & places like that is what they are selling for. Not what's being asked.

Boy, you ain't kidding. Unfortunately, I've only been able to take full advantage of a few of our (wifey and myself) season tickets this year..pregnancy complications and such (no sob story, all is well as of this post).

Anyhoo, I've looked to ticketexchange for the lowest price in our section and sold them to friends or associates for lower than the lowest price.

Needless to say, I've checked out the prices for several games. The prices for Cards/Saints tickets are really, REALLY low. They're lower than NYJ, NYG, NE, DAL, and ATL. Hell, they're lower than TB!!!

WTF does Tom Benson have to do with ticket prices to the Playoffs...its set by supply and demand, he has no say in the price.
