According to ESPN:

Georgia has been searching for a new defensive coordinator since Dec. 2, when Richt fired longtime coordinator Willie Martinez. Georgia finished 38th in total defense (339.3 yards per game)

Richt fired his coordinator for finishing 38th in total defense. Wonder what he'd do with an offensive coordinator who finished nearly last?

hard to say since he kept Wet Willie around for multiple bad defensive years. Do you even watch college football? It was not like Willie had his first bad year.

Now I know you are not trying to talk sense to a Miles basher! UGA fans have spent years wanting Martinez gone.

Exactly. Look at the points Georgia gave up. Not just this past season. Scoring defense was 63rd.

Wasn't LSU 76th in scoring offense? Not good at all of course, but much better than 112th.

Wish someone at LSU could figure that out.. I just want our program to mirror UGAs, that should be Alleva's blueprint.

And last year we got rid of co-DC's who were ranked 32nd in Total D, and 56th in Scoring D. After 1 year of sucking, whereas Martinez was in year 3 or 4 of sucking.

Dude I've been waiting FOREVER for willie to get the frick off of UGA. Give Crowton a chance.

Watch, next year he will have an explosive year in the offensive category and you folks will say you never doubted him the entire time.

Stats can be deceiving. Remember that UGA's defensive stats are inflated because they faced LSU's offense. You take those stats out and UGA would probably be closer to 100th.
