before we start ripping his head off?

was he really that awful? I don't think so anyway, given what we have.

I know the whole JL situation didn't pan out well, but frankly i'm getting a bit tired of switching to a new qb every year. I think switching gary will have a much bigger impact imo.

And call me crazy, but JJ seems like more of a thrower than a runner imo.

he's not that bad. He didn't do that great this year because of no running game and a weak o line. He can make first down with his legs and is pretty accurate on his throws. They just need to help him through his progressions on receivers and he improved on not taking sacks later in the year. It wouldn't hurt to try to help him on getting the ball out faster his throwing motion is kinda slow but that isn't that big of a problem

Miles will run him into the ground like he did with Lee.

I think the blame falls on us for Lee. I'm surprised that he is still at LSU. The fans have shot Lees confidence down to 0.

He's a decent quaterback but with the current coaching, the future is bleak for him.

His is still very green and seems tramatized by what happend to Lee.

He seems afraid to throw the ball down field without taking a week to survey the field.

Maybe things will slow down for him and will begin to read SEC defenses sooner.

He needs some mentoring. One thing JJ never had was an incumbent to learn behind and a decent QB coach. It has hurt him badly.

He's an above average quarterback with a shite o-line. If we had a semblance of a running attack he would perform better. We were one dimensional this entire season

He is the type of QB you need if you rely on a great running game and a good defense. Problem is our running game has been shite. But the coaches haven't helped matters, Jefferson is making the same mistakes he made in week 1. Very little development.

Apparently not. The Rant expects every LSU QB to be All-SEC during their true sophmore season. They never give credence to the fact that players usually improve in the offseason, especially QBs after their first starting season.

Agree

Fact is JJ played behind a below average OL that couldn't open holes for 2 Senior RBs that have had tremendous success in the past. Why is no one getting on Scott or KW for "underachieving"? Adding to the OL, Crowton absolutely sucks as a play caller and developer of QBs.

I disagree here. I've seen a lot of improvement over the last 3 or 4 games (especially the bowl game).
