1. Bama - McElroy - 4th yr Junior
2. Texas - McCoy - 5th yr Senior
3. TCU - Dalton - 4th yr Junior
4. Cincy - Pike - 5th yr Senior
5. Florida - Tebow - 4th yr Senior
6. Boise St - Moore - 3rd yr Sophomore
7. Oregon - Masoli - 3rd yr Junior
8. Ohio State - Pryor - 2nd yr Sophomore
9. Georgia Tech - Nesbitt - 3rd yr Junior
10. Iowa - Stanzi - 4th yr Junior
11. Penn State - Clark - 5th yr Senior
12. Va Tech - Taylor - 3rd yr Junior
13. LSU - Jefferson - 2nd yr Sophomore

Calm down for goodness sake. The sky isn't falling. Should we have beaten Ole Miss and Penn State...sure.

Everybody ahead of us (except Pryor) is it at least their 3rd year in the program, and over half of them are 4th or 5th year guys. Veteran QB's win championships and close games. They are an extension of the coach on the field. They make those crucial plays and understand clock management late in games without having to look over to the sideline.

Further, lets not forget this is year 2 of the "Perriloux effect". Additionally, and contrary to some moronic poster's beliefs, Jefferson improved tremendously this year. 17td's and only 7 picks is a good year for a 19-yr old true sophomore. He's only going to get better.

Year 2 of Chavis with the defense will reap further benefits and the addition of Gonzales should help a lot with Crowton and the offense.

I'm going to continue to be positive and support our top 10 program because we have an incredibly bright 2010 and beyond in front of us.

i refuse to get down on coach miles regardless of wins and losses, play calling, or even not playing the best players because he favors the older players.

win or lose, i will be positive.

I agree. I also think that the OL will improve in the second year of a new scheme (correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they implement a zone blocking scheme this year?). It also seemed that there was much confusion between this new focus on the OL and the play calling, and I believe Gonzalez can help get everyone on the same page. Call me an optimist, but I think we could see real improvement on offence next year even without replacing Crowton if the coaches work together. It will be interesting to see if staying the course is actually the best option

That's the real test for JJ. I expect him to improve dramatically in the offseason. If not, we could be screwed.

Either way, if we get an 8-5 season again let alone pull stupid-assed losses again I want LM to quit. A program this strong does not deserve to be anything less.

Crowton's total offensive rankings with JR or SR QBs:

1998: 2
2001: 1
2005: 18
2006: 9
2007: 26

I wonder why Negatigers don't use USC with their freshman QB for comparison. Wait, USC lost four games to PAC-10 chumps.

I commend your positivity but I think you're clutching at straws. QB is not our only problem. Infact, I don't think it's even in the top 3.

At least JJ got progressively better somewhat, or at some times. I saw Barkley decrease substantially from what he is.

It doesn't help that Carroll blames EVERYBODY ELSE first before he says it is Barkley's fault. I'm beginning to think Barkley is a total bust, although what I just said is heresy in USC fandomland.

The defense at $C was the problem this year moreso than anything on the offensive side of the ball.
