It's good to see the bandwagon might finally be shrinking

People have been complaining that Tiger Stadium has lost some of it's edge after the success of the team this decade. With people jumping off the bandwagon, our remaining fans will be hungrier and more ferocious, making Tiger Stadium what it used to be. We have some great home games next season, and if the stadium is full of true die hard fans for those games, the house will be rocking. It might even stay full the whole game. Oh yeah, and all of you whiners really need to get over a meaningless loss and go frick yourselves.

This is exactly what I have been wanting to say, but was too lazy to type out. I think LSU fans have gotten spoiled.

No, that means less butts in seats, which means less money, which means declining facilites and less money to throw around, which in most situations inevitablely leads to a decline in the program as a whole.

Dude, why would anyone want LESS fans to come to LSU games?

In case you haven't noticed, there's an assload of real LSU fans on a season ticket waiting list that's as long as the causeway bridge.

Re-read his post again dumbass... He never said he wanted less fans there. He said that with LSU having a couple of down years the bandwagon fans will disappear and more true fans will be able to get tickets, thus staying the entire game and being louder then the pussies who go for the "social" gathering. Get a clue frickstick.

Think again. The rich bandwagon fans that are already on the waiting list will get those tickets.

Somehow, despite the fact that LSU football has not won the national championship every year, the program still seems to thrive and people still come to the games and people still go to school there.

This. Some thought processes are just hard to follow. We HAVE to deliver a top rate product to make money...to reload with talent...to stay in national contention. We are not set up to do any of this right now.

Well buddy, the "bandwagon" fans that have these season tickets and go for "social" gatherings are donating a lot of money. You would perfer that these people stop donating money, so people with less money that donate less would go to games? Is this correct?

I assure you, the people donating the REAL money to this program aren't the drunken lunatics making all the noise. They're the ones sipping martinis in thier private boxes.

Can we cut the "I was there in the hard days" trump card bullshite already. I've seen some shitty LSU teams, i just like it when we win more than we lose. I guess that makes me "bandwagon".

When did supporting your team no matter what become settling for mediocrity?

I'm not a Les supporter, I wouldn't care if he was gone, but I at least hope the Tigers win while he's here. I'd rather see us win close games with questionable play calling vs. outright root for us to lose just so we can get a new coach. If we get a new coach, so be it, and I'll root for him too, whether I like him or not. I just want to see LSU win. I don't care how it gets done.

Obviously anytime you don't worship the ground LSU coaches and players walk on, you're a bandwagoner

No offense to any of you but i watched some of yalls games this year and i noticed that around the third quarter of some of the games there were many open seats in the stadium. why would they leave? do they have some party that is more important than the game... i agree that these loses will help weed out those who really dont care.

I hate losing too and I'm pretty sick of the coaching on the offense. Just because people are trying to support the players doesn't mean they are "settling for mediocrity"

Apparently there is some magically drunk group of thousands of LSU fans that will never EVER abondon thier team, EVER. But none of this massive group of diehards has ever been to an LSU game, nor will the man ever allow those poor bastards to attend. Only people that hate LSU and don't want to be there go to games. Duh.
