This is just not adding up. Lot of info coming out and Leach is not the one looking bad.

He will get a good settlement. Tech screwed up on this one. Not saying they did the wrong thing firing leach, but they should have let the "process" run its course first.

ESPN just showed a statement from Chris Perry, I think thats his name, a DT for Tech, and he said the firing was justified and the team is happy that he is gone

"process" costs too much. $800,000 too much.

Did you expect them to show what a little bitch Craig and princess Adam James really are?

I'm sure Craig James had the Hollywood treatment when he was at SMU and he doesnt have a realistic view of what college football is for back-up or non star players. The James gang is making it out as if Adam was a "Junction Boy" and ESPN will not give you unbiased reporting on the matter. The ESPN guy on Outside the lines was pretty aggresive with Leach's lawyer. At one point replying "I asked you the question, didnt I"

You think that ESPN was directed to this player for the quote by Adam James?

How freaking retarded is that. Do you really think the billion dollar machine that is ESPN gives a shite about Craig James or his son? They are reporting on a story that is a big story, just like the Magino story which they had no connection to. Some of the analyst take the side of Tech, some Leach, and some are on the fence. I am so sick of so many on here that have to make it as if ESPN is here to please them and them only and if they do anything that is not exactly what they want then they are wrong. Trust me ESPN is pretty good at what they do and are alot smarter than you.

The billion dollar machine that is ESPN is arrogant enough to think that sports is what they say it is. And no ESPN is not "pretty good at what they do" they are just virtually all you have to choose from. Try thinking for yourself once in a while and see the forest not the trees.

You are just repeating what everyone else on this board loves to say. I am being original. Just don't watch if you don't like it.

This is going to make schools less willing to hire a white coach

The forest and trees saying goes alot farther back than this board. And believing ESPN as if they were the gospel doesnt sound to original to me. Furthermore as I already stated ESPN pretty much has a monopoly on the sporting world so it's pretty hard to just not watch it if your a sports fan.

I didn't say they were gospel. I said you were wrong to think they gave a shite about Craig James and his son.

leach has them on the hook for firing without cause-- they can do that, but of course they have to pay out the contract when they do.

more importantly, if you look at the so-called shed and shite, its clear that they put out a story through their own agents knowing it was false. and the jury will award leach punitive damages in the defamation case.

then it gets interesting. i figure leach has 20 yrs coaching left, at 2.5million a year in 2009 dollars. I'd spend 3 years litigating that, ask for remaining contract and damages of 50 million and tribel punatives. figure 200 million.

let them settle for 35 million and in 4 years be coaching again with a tan. pirates!

LINK

i will tell you this. there is a 100% probability that everyone involved in negotiations from the AD on down is going to get sacked.

eta: oh shite did anybody read leach's statement? it's on! i think i can post it since its a press release. hold on
