Guys,

I am curious if a Panasonic 42" Plasma is decent for gaming or should I stick with an LCD?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

depends on the plasma.

most plasma tvs will burn in images if you leave a game paused for too long

LCD's don't do that.

LCD's are less prone to burn than their plasma counterparts, yes.

I've had my PS3 hooked up to a Panasonic plasma and now a Samsung plasma and both looked amazing for blu-ray movies and games. No problems with burn in either.

autray,

What are your thoughts on DLP TV's, concerning gaming and sports? I'm thinking about getting a new TV, just trying to collect some reliable info.

I have a 50" Panasonic Plasma and I have not had any issues with gaming. I have left the TV on ESPN with the bottom line for over 9 hours in one day and no burn in.
