Yes, just can't play at the same time. You would have to re-recover each time you switched consoles though.

As far as I know, the only way to do this would be to put the XBL account on a memory card and recover the account each time you switch Xbox 360s.
But I don't think it retains gamerpoints and etc. and would be a PITA.
Any reason for wanting to do this?

You wouldnt need a memory card. I used to do this all the time.
My reason for doing it was I would play on Live at my apartment and then go stay at my parents for a few days. Instead of bringing my Xbox, I would just recover my gamertag on my brothers console and then rerecover it when I got back to my apartment.

Just show them how to take the hardrive off of the side. Pay for live on one console and if they want to play live on the other they can just put the hardrive on that one.

This, I do it all the time and it works perfect. You don't have to recover your gamertag. Although, microsoft should make the consoles where you can have multiple XBL accounts on one console.

I'm pretty sure you can. I made my brother one b/c I didnt want him playing on my name and when either on of us would play we would play with our own account. I may be wrong though.

I have never seen it, and as far as I know you can't have more than one on one machine without recovering back and forth.

You can have more than one on a machine. My friend and I used to play halo all the time on his account and his alternate account on the same machine.
You just have to recover the second account, or make it on that machine originally just like any other account.

You can. My buddy and I have two LIVE accounts on my XBOX in AZ, and we play all the time. He forgot his in WI, so I let him upload his acct to mine.
