I mean, he is the coach of our opponent in the bowl game.

I guess. But just remember, he is more articulate at 103 than our coach is.

I don't think so but that may just be me. I think Coach Paterno is somewhat of a living legend. He has been at Penn State in some capacity for over 50 years and he has handled himself with tremendous dignity.

Joe Pa is hands off in my opinion.

I don't want to make fun of him. Penn State is not our rival and I have a ton of respect for him. Like another poster said, dude is a living legend.

No it isnt OK! The JoePa is a very cool guy. Listen to the guy speak. I wish coaches in general were more like him. He calls it like it is. He can laugh at him self. When the reporters asked him if he was bringing his grand kids to DW he said , At my age I need to be in church not DW.
I admire the heck outta JoePa.

Joe Pa is someone I have a hard time making fun of/wishing bad of.

Partly, because he and my grandfather look identical. It's scary

Navitiger1 - Just to say that you laughed when he broke his leg shows what an a-hole you are. It's good that you know you are an inconsiderate a-hole. How can you laugh at that. Are you 12 yrs. old or something?

It's bad form to wish any harm on him, but I really don't think there should be anyone off limits to being made fun of, except for people who are disabled (through no fault of their own).

He WAS a great coach in his time. That has passed.

Fire away. I personally think the guy is senile.

I have an idea, instead of making fun of each other's coaches...let's instead direct our mutual energy at this guy:

Why not,

Lou Holtz is an antique and legend, and I made fun of him.

Joe Pa is NOT hands off, IMO. He seems like a guy who wouldn't want it any other way; to be treated like the rest of college football.

In his honor, let er rip!
