LSU was #1 or #2 in each of the preseason polls last season. Collegiate Baseball had LSU #1 last season so they think LSU isn't quite as good. The team still has the chance to be great, but last year's team was a slight bit better on day one.

Given the questions in the rotation, this is a perfectly fair rating. I thought we'd be lower as well.

It'll just be super sweet when we beat Texas again.

Let's see, UT is ranked #2 in football, #2 in basketball and #1 in baseball. Pretty damn impressive.

The entire Texas pitching staff is back except for Austin Wood, which means the pitching staff will be even better!

Why can't we be like that year in and year out?

that and the fact that they are really high on texas, and justifiably so. they return a shitload of talent, not to mention virtually their entire pitching staff, save for a reliever or 2.

Yep, my Austin friends/neighbors/coworkers remind me of this situation occassionally - fortunately Coach Manieri and his team took care of business in June and I don't have to take much from them.

Does LSU bring back its pitching staff from last yr or did they lose some of their young arms to the draft?
