I still dont get the love- I watched it about a month ago, and then again last week

It's alright - but "awesome?"

I have a feeling that those who think Tombstone was a great movie, are the same who think Ingl. Bast was "awwwwwesommmme"

I still haven't seen it. I'm thinking it will be good though since my friends didn't like it. They were complaining about lack of action, subtitles, heavy dialog, and length.

me either. I didn't like it that much. I need to watch it again for a second opinion though.

I don't really get that comparison.

Tombstone (on this board at least) is constatly lauded over as this amazing piece of cinematic art with regards to the classic American Western

it happens to be a complete pile of crap, and a downright terrible movie with medi-ocre acting, and a weak, weak script

I can already see the rumble in the horizon about Inglorious Basterds....those proclaiming it to be the end all be all to WWII movies, soon to be ranked right up there with Bridge Over the River Kwai.

However, I thought Basterds was fair to good - Tombstone (as Cdawg puts it) was more a comedy than a serious western

This is a great movie.

Y'all forget that tarantino is an old Hollywood traditionalist. So many references and filming styles to a great period of American film.

This movie is worth seeing for the bar scene alone.

Christoph Waltz should win something, anything, for his performance! Just amazing.

I wouldn't go that far. I like Tombstone just fine but yeah it's overhyped on this board. It's not even the second best OK Corral movie.

I like this about Tarantino. I like how he does his opening credits.

One of my favorite movies of this decade. The movie is flawless. Great characters, amazing dialog, great and hilarious action, an incredible villain, great actors, and a great story.

I'm sorry that you were too stupid to understand it. Fortunately there are movies for you like "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" that appeal to the dumbest of audiences who go to movie just for explosions and comedy, and not a coherent plot.
