How many of our draft picks do we have for the 2010 draft?

I'm thinking we have rounds 1-4, and round 6, having traded away #5 in the Thomas Morestead trade and #7 in the David Thomas trade.

Anybody know for sure?

Excellent use of the two draft choices we traded away.

Boy! Have times changed.
There was a time we'd trade top round picks for guys who couldn't make a roster anywhere else.
This organization appears to be clicking on all cylinders.

Even though you can always get better in the draft, I think this team is near the place where we can start trading some of our picks for more future picks...like the Patriots have done for years.

Hopefully the Sai ts will get a few more if they trade Bush. This, of course, assumes he doesn't want to rework his contract.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that we trade J. Brown too. Other people have stepped up and filled his spot and we can get alot for him.

Tons of underclassmen in this year's draft. Good year to stockpile picks in mid rounds.
Will also be nice to get our injured picks back next year.

I think we still have our 7th round pick. We traded a 2011 7th for David Thomas.

Don't forget trading a couple of picks for Shockey, either.

I think you are correct.

They need to spend one early pick on a OLB and one early pick on a pass rusher. Other than that, Sean Payton can go after whatever he wants in the draft.

He is a player that becuase of so much success this year has been kind of forgotten. I would hope the team could find a good deal after the
season, there are always teams that could use left tackles and he is a good one when healthy. The Saints definately need to draft mostly all defensive players next year, maybe pick another O-lineman for depth.

They won't get anything for Brown, he hasn't played all year, other teams know the Saints will not pick up that salary, they will wait until he is released.

I love the fact that Vaughn and Arneaux will basically be a part of this draft class. One of the great things about watching the Saints is knowing we are building the team correctly with veteran leadership, as well as young guys to learn from them. I don't expect a major dropoff in success for years to come with the way the FO is handling our team.
