I just broke down and bought a slim instead of dealing with the headache with mailing it in for a refurb.

Same thing happened here playing MW2. Did you get your disk out? If not, hold down the disk button while turning the power on in the back. Worked for mine.
There's a few tricks on youtube you can try; but, none of it looks to be a sure thing. The heat gun on the chips seems to only last a couple of weeks before you have to do it again.
Debating the return or purchase of the slim.

You can only use that trick to getbthe disc out of certain models of PS3.
It won't work on mine.
Any one know anything about MW2 causing problem? If so, will mw2 do it to the slim as well?
