Agree. Why are LSU fans making fun of their own players?

because Ciron black graded out over 85% in every single game this year, tops in the SEC. Which is why he received the SEC award. How aweful can you get

Ciron Black has been a very good player at LSU during his career, but he was not deserving of being named a second-team AA based upon his play this season. And it does not make any Tiger fan an arse to point that fact out.

In fact, against Arkansas, Ciron Black was easily LSU's worst offensive lineman. Black looked like he was moving in slow motion and barely got a hand on his defender many plays. Almost appeared he was not playing hard. Whether injury or attitude, something happened to Black this season to cause his play to decline.

...and how many fricking plays did you watch Ciron??????????? As a former collegiate lineman, I watched MANY. The young man did damn well. I would be willing to bet your basis relies on perceptions of coach potatoes who have not actually watch Ciron yet render flaming criticisms.

Until you truly know what you are talking about SFTU.

it absolutely makes them an arse when they have no basis. when they have not consistently watched his performance but have based it on his weaker counterparts.

Guy's numbers speak for themselves and those grading numbers are VERY strict. They are earned.

Who did the grading? The same LSU coaches who claim T-Bob grades out well every game? Give me a break.

A Penn State fan just posted that he had watched film on every LSU game in the past 3 days. Do you know what his initial comment was? He commented how awful the LSU offensive line played, how the line played poorly in every game.

And you wonder where the major problem lies with the LSU offense? It is so obvious that a fan of another school could see it. The problem is real simple. LSU's offensive line this season could not block a good high school team and without good blocking, it does matter how good our skill position players are.

I am sorry if this reality upsets LSU fans, but sometimes the truth hurts. We can change OC, we can change our starting QB, we can change our starting RBs, we can change our starting WR's, we can change our play calling, and none of the changes are going make a bit of difference until the problems on the offensive line are corrected.

It is deserved. Anyone who's ever played the position of offensive tackle has to have an appreciation of Ciron's ability and performance. Even if you don't know diddley about playing OT the fact that CB graded out as the best blocker in the best conference in the land speaks for itself. Playcalling and inexperience at QB, guard and center led to bad plays that were often wrongly attributed to Ciron. At one home game the person sitting next to me commented on the line allowing JJ to be sacked on a certain play. I advised him that on that play the sack was totally on the QB for backing up out of the pocket, thus allowing a well-blocked defensive end to have a clear shot at the sack. In the next quarter, almost exactly the same thing happened and this time the fan shook his head and said, "See what ya mean. Jordan needs to step up and not back on that play." He was actually sacked 4 times in that game and 3 of the sacks were due to JJ backing up out of a well-formed pocket instead of sliding up. Yet the boards were full of the Oline can't block; can't protect JJ; they all suck. CBlack has been a valiant Tiger. Congrats on all the selections and the Jacobs Trophy.

you idiot! you debunk the review of focused HD recordings that are replayed and scurtinized over and over by experts on the subject and then substantiate your position by citing a PSU fans take on the unit as whole by virtue of the handful of games he's watched?

COME THE frick ON!

We will truly see how he performed when the NFL draft rolls around. I trust the evaluation skills of the NFL scouts a lot more than I trust the grading mechanism of Les Miles and staff.

Black was projected as a first round pick prior to this season. I guarantee you he does not get picked in the first round. Maybe second, but that is only because it is an extremely weak draft class for tackles this year.
