If I don't have anything nice to say, I shouldn't say anything at all....
eta. He's a great person that deserves a lot of praise, but he did not have the best of years.

Well, the fans here know so much more than these guys watching film and who pick these award winners. They must have been watching some other film because it's obvious everyone here knows he didn't do shite this year.

If the Rant says it, it's true.

This committee is CLUELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't take a coach to see someone struggling.

So you're saying the committee just picked Black on name recognition? Saying they didn't look at ANY of his tape whatsoever?

maybe a carefully crafted highlight tape and some stats the SID passed along.

Congrats Ciron....

Honest question....Do Ath Depts submit tape for these voters to view? If so, it's more like a highlite reel.

Yeah, because I'm sure whoever awards this trophy asks for just highlights and not complete game tapes. Well, that makes for an error free decision. It all makes sense now.

If he was blocking for a QB that knew how to step up into a pocket, his blocking would have appeared much better to the uninformed. Maybe the selection committee saw some of that too...

I have been saying all season, blaming the OL for every sack JJ took is being unfair to the OL.

exactly I will always be a Ciron Black fan. I will never forget what he did for the little boy who was in the hospital in Memphis. He is a class guy all the way. But I think he won this award based on his career, cause its obvious his knee problems have caught up wth him.

If you do not know, a simple "I don't know" would suffice.

I'm only a casual observer of football and I could pick up many times when the sack was the qbs fault.

That doesn't fully explain how our run game sucked though.

if you think these "committees" go back and break down every game of every player for these awards then you're 5000x more naive then even the driveman thought

+1 Ciron didnt deserve it any more than Obama deserved the Nobel. But I see no harm in him winning it!

Your wrong Ciron earned it with a outstanding career. Obama didn't earn shite, he won based on being a black president.
