Probably:
Alabama vs Ohio State
Texas vs Oregon
TCU vs Boise
Florida vs Cincy

8 team playoff is totally unrealistic

I personally like a 6 team playoff with the top two seeds getting byes. Thus you can keep the current BCS bowl system as far as number of BCS games and you reward the 1st and 2nd place teams for having a winning season. In football, I don't see an 8th place team being deserving of a shot at the national championship.

The only way CFB will go to playoff is 8 teams with the 6 BCS champs getting auto-bids.
The ACC and Big East presidents will never agree to move to a playoff if their champ isn't included in them

Anything over 4 teams is totally unrealistic.

and if they did that, it would be:
1 Alabama vs 10 GT
2 Texas vs 8 Ohio State
3 TCU vs 7 Oregon
4 Cincy vs 5 Florida
1 Alabama vs 10 GT
2 Texas vs 8 Ohio State
3 TCU vs 7 Oregon
4 Cincy vs 5 Florida

IMO you get the six BCS champs and the top 2 mid majors.

no way. They'll agree to take one mid major, but there's no way 1 loss Florida is left out for Boise State this year.
Or 1 loss Bama for Boise State last year
