I'm not sure but I think that if Florida finishes in the top 4 then they have to go to a BCS bowl. But again, I'm not 100% on that.

If we would have beaten Ole Miss and Bama would have gotten blown out. I think we would have had a shot at the Sugar Bowl. But we are 9-3 and Florida is 12-1. Plus it's the last college game for Tim Tebow. No way they are passing that up.

Not a bad thought. I'd like someone to explain the scenario. UF got blown out today but I can not see a 3 loss team vaulting a 1 loss team but stranger things have happened.

Since you seem to want a serious answer, the ratings will be better for Florida than for us and New Orleans will get more money if Florida goes instead of us as Florida fans will be more likely to stay in hotels and spend money than Tiger fans who could come for the day and not stay overnight.

Sugar doesn't get to choose, it's a BCS Game. They gave up the right to choose teams when they became part of the BCS system.
BCS rankings will tell them who's playing.
Only two teams are allowed per conference. SO...even if LSU had beaten Ole Miss, we'd still be playing in the Cap One.

It's college football. Anyone can do whatever they want. If they want to take Notre Dame, who the hell is going to stop them? The NCAA? The government? Hell if they let all the stupid crap that goes on now go on, why would this be any different?

The sugar is tied in to the SEC champion. that is the only team they have to pick. the other team as well as if the SEC champion is in the BCSNCG, they can pick whoever they want. They can pick Navy to play in the sugar if they wanted to. That being said, Im pretty sure The Gators are going becasue they are one of the best teams in college football and that is the mission behind the BCS bowl games. Minus the Rose Bowl. They just rather pairing 2 crappy teams rather than the best teams because of tradition
