LSU doesn't have either element, making it a manageable contest for Penn State if the two were to play in Orlando.

what are they talking about?

quote:

The Tigers had a solid season, but didn't rack up as many quality wins as one would expect in the SEC. Road wins at Mississippi State and Georgia were notable, and so was a 31-10 home win over Auburn. But, just like Penn State, none of LSU's nine wins came over opponents currently ranked in any of the major national polls. Both LSU and PSU were 0-2 in games against BCS-eligible teams.

LSU lost to Florida and Alabama compared to
Penn lost to Iowa (way over rated team) and Ohio State
you tell me who lost to better teams?
need i go further into whose OOC is tougher

quote:

Speed is always something to consider in a matchup with a quality SEC team, but historically, the Nittany Lions have matched up well with this type of 'SEC speed.'

when was this like the 1970s? they can't match up to Trindon Holliday or russell sheppard

keep thinking that just because you play against teams like akron, syracuse, and temple it seems you have playmakers

Who you lost to doesn't tell you crap. Are we now ranking quality losses? Who you beat tells you more.

Again, LSU has a MUCH better chance vs Iowa than they do beating PSU.

If you going Minnesota and Northwestern,

It begs State and Washington.

Look, we may beat the hell out of Penn. But we have beat no one worth a damn either.

Yeah, it does, depending on how well you played them. LSU was pretty solidly defeated by Florida but played Alabama and especially Ole Miss close (and should have won the latter of the two). Penn State was beaten soundly by Ohio State and Iowa.

And as far as who they beat... while LSU doesn't really have a marquee win, I'd say Auburn and Arkansas are better wins than anyone Penn State's beaten this year.

You do realize that Penn is not the same school as Penn State?

i'm sure they're scared of 2 guys who may get 8 offensive touches combined in our bowl game

That alone should be enough to have all of our offensive coordinators fired. Absolutely pathetic. Penn st. should never have more playmakers than LSU on offense. They are know for great LBs I guess...and maybe a power RB..but crap...more PLAYMAKERS on offense? yikes.

well Penn State has more than held their own against SEC teams in Bowl games.

Since 1990 they are 5-2 against the SEC:

1992 Fiesta Bowl: beat Tennessee 42-17
1994 Citrus Bowl: beat Tennessee 31-13
1996 Outback Bowl: beat Auburn 43-14
1998 Citrus Bowl: lost to Florida 21-6
1999 Outback Bowl: beat Kentucky 26-14
2003 Capital One Bowl: lost to Auburn 13-9
2007 Outback Bowl: beat Tennessee 20-10

So they are 1-2 against the West and 4-0 against the East. Seems like good odds except for the fact that Chavis was at Tennessee
