And that cost a shot at a NC in '06. Ability does not equal a great QB.

wtf? JR was the best QB in the country in 2006, and JJ is nothing like him at this point. They are not near similar players

but they are both black

JR was the best QB in CFB in 2006

and JR had his bad games in 2006, but mauck had worse big games in 2003 and flynn similar problems in 2007

Unlike the fellas who obviously see everything as color, I see it as ability. I see a QB who was given every oportunity over the course of a Spring, summer and fall and did not improve at all. His body language and facial expressions blame everything on everybody else. Just my un-racial opinion.

In JJ's defense he isn't exactly being tutored by a QB guru..it's a miracle he does as much as he does with Gary Crowton in charge of his development.

At least Russell had a competent coach when Jimbo was here.

I doubt that considering you can't recognize JR's ability. He was a big reason we won 11 games that year, not why we lost 2.

JJ cannot yet think or manage on his own. Everything is scripted for him. How in the world can you say that he manages the game so well when he takes so many sacks in critical situations?

Yeah cause play calling at Aubrun was clearly his fault.
