I know we all want to try to stay positive but we also have to face reality. The defense has been soft with the bend don't break mind set that Chavis has put into the system. We are 9th in the SEC in 3rd conversions aganist our defense: followed USC Vandy and Ky. We have the defense why not let them play?

A bending defense has killed us all year, a ten yrd coushion soft zone or better known as 3rd and Chavis is a far cry from the defense for which we are known.
How about stepping up, put 8 in the box and play a little hard for a few downs, it may just help the outcome of the game where we don't have to worry about bad time management.

I think you are right. The more the D is on the field it means they are having a hard time getting off of it. If the D was that good the time of posession would be close to the other team if our O was struggling. We have been losing the TOP battle all year.

yes and no. It has been an issue but would work better with a complimentary offense

Could be right about the offense but I feel like the offense has been treated like babies and have not been cut loose, so it hurts on both sides of the ball.
