Quote a Les Euphemism and then your translation.

Here's a great one form the presser yesterday.

"It cost my team a best opportunity at victory."

Translation - "I fricked up big time and my team lost because of me."

"Nobody has a greater want to victory as I do"

- I hope like hell that my supremely talented team will be leading the other team by enough down the stretch without me having to make any critical end of game decisions.

"I did not manage the back end of the game very well and that's my fault"

- If I make up new, unique names to describe a term that already exists, it will make me sound a little more intelligent than you because you've never heard that term before.

"There was certainly a want to finish first in this game."

translation-No matter how shitty I coach, at least we can't finish third!

Pretty childish (or clever? nah...) way of avoiding the words WIN or LOSE.

Heaven forbid he should admit that he didn't WIN. Or that he LOST.

As we went to the Ole Miss game, we asked our team to do some things very specifically. We asked them to play as themselves, play as LSU, find a piece of them and play with it.

Translation - On the way to Oxford, I asked the guys to play with their cock n' balls.

Who knows, maybe he is just looking for outlandish ways of saying normal coachspeak because he is trying to draw attention away from his gameday coaching, or lack there of...

This "finishing second" or "not finishing first" bullshite is positively strange beyond words. It is the kind of thing that he must have overheard at one of his kid's soccer matches.

"The calls that we make there come with a code that says we are in position to win this game. Travel smartly, make great decisions." from yesterday.

Transl:
I am out of my fricking mind and will soon be packing my bags.

When is Les going to realize that WANT is not a noun?

We had a WANT?

WTF!?

"I saw on youtube a video of me jumping up and down. It was construed that I was saying, spike the ball. Really I was trying to tell the refs that he caught the ball and was down on the ground."

Translation: I'd hate to look any stupider than I already do so I'll bs my way out of the situation (i.e. I was calling a spike)
