Does Joe Pa retire at the end of the year if Bowden retires?

He stays until he dies or is bedridden. No such thing as retire will ever come out of that mans mouth

Joe Pa doesn't care about the wins record. I never liked Paterno until I read the SI story on him a few weeks back. Now I think the man can stay as coach however long he wants and anybody who doesn't like him is just mis-informed.

Joe Pa seems like one of those old guys that believes the minute he quits doing the job he has loved for decades, he would die. There are a lot of older men that believe this. If he wants to keep going, I say more power to him. He's still running a successful program.
