I was lucky enough to switch stations this morning to hear '..and Josh Innes..' I don't listen to 610 because it sucks but I was shocked. Is he the chosen one to make it worth listening to? 610 took John Lopez from 790 and now paired Innes with Lopez after Lopez/Vandermeer are done. What can I expect? Within my first 5 minutes of listening today he's already talked about the Saints and Bobby Hebert/Deke Bellavia this morning. I'll listen for a week and decide..

quote:

Josh Innes, who debuts Monday as the third member of KILT’s (610 AM) morning drive time cast, will bring along his LSU sweatshirts as he moves to Houston from Baton Rouge, La. But he also went shopping Thursday for a University of Houston cap, so he’s looking to adapt to his new surroundings.

quote:

Innes, 23, formerly of Clear Channel Radio’s WJBO and WSKR in Baton Rouge, takes the position vacated a few weeks ago by Adam Clanton. He will read news updates and contribute to the Marc Vandermeer-John Lopez show from 6 to 10 a.m. and host solo from 10 to 11 a.m.

quote:

“I like to be entertaining,” Innes said. “I’m not much for breaking down games, although there are days you have to do. What I hope to offer are different types of entertaining segments that aren’t based on me saying that the coach should have done this or should have done that.”

the morning zoo makes its way to H-town. You guys get ready for wacky segments like the time machine, jime rom rip off clips, 80s music, and hell maybe he'll even do some prank calls.

I will never know the joy of INnes' hijinx. 610 is one giant suckfest and hiring him just confirms that they are committed to suckiing hard.

I hope he has figured out how to say words correctly...sometimes he just says everything but the correct way of saying the word

790 and 610 suck so bad.

When I moved to Houston 1560 had just started. Really enjoy the station and my favorite segment is "College Football Wednesday".

Oh and Long Horn Scott is a tool.

they are good and have great SEC coverage but the signal sucks arse on my side of town (and most parts of Houston). Charlie Pallilo 3-7 is the best in town.

What part of town are you in? I am on the north side and they come in fine for me.

1560 is the only good sports talk station now.

John and Lance and Sean and John are great

CFB Wed are great, would be better if they would get Hanagriff instead of Mike S

FWIW, he is much more mature & professional on 610 so far.

Has anyone challenge him to a game of 1 on 1 basketball yet?

I wonder if Sonny would take Mikes place on college football Wednesdays.

Also, why did the Aggie guy bail out on his segment this season? Find it funny that a school so close to Houston would not be on it.

Or was it a decision by the station to replace them with Oklahoma?

I think so because they had four regular segments last season LSU, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and Texas.

I could be mistaken but I believe they only have four regulars again LSU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Texas.
