In 39 years of watching LSU just some random thoughts from last night:

a) Does anyone ever remember an individual being booed as loudly as Lee was last night? Just curious. IMO, that was the loudest.

(I can remember Hodson being booed against UF in '89 after an int.)

b) I choose not to boo unless it's for lack of effort. As long as someone is giving 100%, I don't consider it appropriate to boo.

c) I love LSU. If something pertains to LSU, I'll double its successes and half its failures. JL chose to come to LSU and stick with LSU.

d) I can't ever remember a QB performance as bad as Lee's was last night. Not trying to blame it all on him but just stating the obvious. Does anyone remember a worse performance?

At this point Lee needs to transfer for his career and his mental well being. No kid needs to be treated like that no matter how fricking terrible he is. I can see him turning out like Ray Finkle from Ace Ventura Pet Detective.

No, I've never seen a worse performance at QB.

Jamie Howard

I really feel sorry for the kid and those who boo his are inbred assholes.

Boo the coaches for not having someone better - but don't boo the kid when he is trying.

Unfortunately he just doesn't seem to have 'it.'

whether he had it and his psyche is destroyed or whether he never really had the talent is immaterial as far as the success of LSU football is concerned - I don't think he can handle the position at all now.

too bad - seems to be a good kid who gave us everything he had - that needs to be respected and not booed by assholes.

Jamie Howard vs. Auburn remains The Gold Standard.

Ronnie Lewis was booed when he would miss FGs. He made one and gave the student section the two handed finger salute

LSU Auburn, can't remember the year, but it was during Curley Hallman's reign of terror. 3 interceptions back to back almost that resulted in a loss which should have been an easy win.

He was being booed mostly by a bunch of frat pansies and other random drunks who would never have the balls to play the game.

Minus the second halves versus Auburn and Troy Jarrett Lee's career has pretty much been the reincarnation of Jamie Howard vs. Auburn. Not hating, just look at the numbers.

I think that Lee is ruined here and may be ruined permanently. Not so much from the booing as the coaching. The kid has natural talent and could have been great if we didnt live every day in bizzarro/schizoid-offense world. I think he deserves a medal for sticking it out this long.

crowton should be run out of here on rails, and while it didnt seem like it, i think thats what the boooes you heard meant when you get down to it.

Agree - the only one booing in our section was a drunk student.

Worse performance last night, yeah.....I have seen one. The LSU defense last night. It was as bad as I have ever seen an LSU defense against a poor team including Troy last year.

It was worse than any individual performance.

Matt Flynn first half performance against Arkansas 2007. I heard a smattering of boos for that one.

i remember booty being booed when he went rogue against UAB, and inexplicably threw the pick that led directly to the UAB gamewinning FG, after being instructed by Saban to run the clock out and not to throw it.

I remember the entire team being booed as they headed to the locker room at the half against Ole Miss in 2001. we were playing like crap, and had a punt blocked leading to an Ole Miss score trying to run out the clock going into the half.
