We allowed them to keep the ball 12 minutes more than us (36 min to 23 min).

Tech converted 3 of 4 4th downs.

They had 23 first downs to our 15.

We allowed them to rush for 173 yards (3.5 ypc)

They had 10 penalties for 100 yards and it still didn't help us. (LSU was 9 for 70 yards)

We ran 52 TOTAL plays. They RUSHED 51 times. (they ran something like 85 plays I think)

No matter how you look at it that's terrible defense, especially considering we were playing LA TECH.

The defense sucked the entire game. They did play better in the 2nd half. Missed tackles.

I give credit to the offensive coordinator at Tech. You got to admit........the guy made some awesome calls last nite that were absolutely timely.

He took advantage of an aggressive defense and made them pay for it.

.......coaching.

Good point.

I had to check my pocket for DeLorean keys, b/c I could have sworn I had accidentally gone back in time to 2008.

The D held La. Tech to 60 yds for the second half--the woke up-the O didn't. Go rant about something else.

they adjusted in the second half and, with the exception of a trick play, gave up no td's.

Angry, does not help, but if we are going to call out Lee and the O, the D needs to be called out.

Simply put, we were not prepared to play and LaTech was.I don't think we prepared fro LaTech, I think our coaches just figured it woud be a blow-over.....I don;t know, but we surely looked bad.

they ran thru us, around us and kicked our butt in the first half.

I was not able to see the second half-work.
...we obviously improved

Sad to see us so lacking in the fundamentals. Important stuff like, uh, tackling

I partially blame the defensive problems last night on the fact that the Offense was terrible. LSU ran 6 plays in the second Quarter for 6 yards.

Overall, I think fans are really tired of watching their team underachieve.

I didn't really mean angry per say. But everyone is calling out JL and Crowton. The D played like garbage too!

I'm talking about it. I think most people aren't talking much about it because the offense sucked just as bad if not worse than the D.

Angry? Because it's just a game, in the end.

Because I think at this point in the season, the defense has shown a resiliency and domination that everyone respects. Yes, they were off last night, and people were frustrated at how they gashed us on some runs, but I think most people expected that the defense would adjust and get the job done, which they did. This is in marked contrast to the offense, which seemed hell bent on letting Jarrett Lee prove (to whom?) that he could complete a pass. As the old saying goes, insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Our highly recruited football players are not lacking in fundamentals. At this stage in their football careers, if they havent learned the fundamentals of tackling, they aren't going to.

Rather, tackling is more about effort not fundamentals, but RANTard geeks don't want to blame their favorite student athletes so they blame our professional coaching staff.

The same staff that has proven time after time they know how to win on the highest stage in college football.

This is what happens when your offense has 3 and outs.

The D looked uninspired the first half, but pretty much shut them down the second half.

16 points on an off night wins almost every game you play.

Unless you have our offense.....
