Saw the film "Bronson" last night...

...and I can't get it out of my head. I really liked it, although I can't really tell you what the point of it was. There was no deep character study here. This film only skimmed the surface of who this man really is. It was unconventional, funny, bizarre, and brooding. The performance of Tom Hardy as career jail bird Michael Peterson, or "Charlie Bronson" (his fighting name) , was absolutely spectacular. To me it was the perfect biopic of a man who will never be understood and never really wants to be.
Has anyone else seen it? I'd like to talk about it if you have. If you haven't, I recommend it for those who can handle crude, lascivious, and violent behavior... and a more than healthy dose of man nudity. A Clockwork Orange, Natural Born Killers, and episodes of Twin Peaks all came to mind as I watched last night. It's certainly not for everyone, though.
Bonus... for those who care, it's directed by the guy who directed the Pusher trilogy.
Here is the US trailer.

I got a copy of it months ago, one of my favorite movies of the year.

Wow... other people that have actually seen it.
Besides liking it, what else do you have to say about it?

Tom Hardy is a chameleon. Never looks the same in two movies.

I have watched Bronson over 20 times in the last few months. Moon, The Hurt Locker, and Bronson are my 3 favorite movies of the year. Tom Hardy, Renner and Rockwell should be nominated for these roles. The soundtrack is bad arse, love the way the movie was shot, and the vignettes that Hardy preforms are surreal glimpses into his psyche. Great movie.

Looking forward to Moon and The Hurt Locker.

I loved The Hurt Locker. Haven't seen Moon or Bronson yet, but I plan on doing so.
I'm also looking forward to That Evening Sun and Last Ride.

Bumped to see if anyone else has had a chance to see this.
It's still lingering, and I'd love to here any new comments.
