I guess $5,000 isn't a lot for him, but what he did deserved a flag, and he got it. However, I think it's dumb to fine him on top of it. He didn't have any intent on hurting the QB. Has anybody ever been fined for hitting a RB out of bounds, or a TE? The QB's shouldn't be handled with kid gloves.

The QB position has become a pussy's delight. Football is no longer a sport for a man's man.

Especially with the alleged new throw backs from Nike coming to a town near you soon.

It's all become so 'safe' and political like everything else.

oh yes they should. No other position is so open to injury in certain situations as QB. Throw a ball and get hit with your arm in the air, extended and see what trauma your body goes through. I know that wide receivers are also open to such fate, but QB's need to be protected. QB's have seven guys gunning for them every play, most other position have only one, two or maybe three guys in on the play. Most tackles are one or two on one.

QB is very vulnerable.

You may not agree, but ask Joe Theisman what he thinks.

I think that is a chicken shite fine. That's why they only fined him 5K. DeAngelo Hall should be fined as well as the coach from Atlanta for swinging at him.

Laron is a thug and has been for years. He stands over people on every tackle he makes regardless of importance or time in the game and talks trash. Ever heard of shutting the frick up and going back to the huddle after you make a play? Deangelo Hall is also in this category so that just compounds the issue when they are involved in the same altercation.

Let me get this straight. He's a thug cuz he talks sh*t while playing football?? So what does that make someone like Tebow that get overly excited on just about every play and gator claps in an opponents face? I don't hear anyone talking about him being a thug. I like how people are quick to judge others. I'm gonna assume u never said a word in anger to anyone before right?

It has nothing to do with politics and all to do with money. Understandably, no one wants to pay to see the Patriots w/o Brady, Eagles w/o McNabb, Colts w/o Peyton, ect ect.

Don't they also have 5 to 7 people guarding and blocking for them on every play too?

Coulda sworn that is what the o-line did?
