As far as LSU fans in the stadium, it wasn't even close to this number. I'd expect around 8,000 LSU fans to make their way in Bryant Denny.

yeah I know, I was asking about people making the trip to Tuscaloosa...regardless of whether they get in BDS.

Good question, but I knew at least one dozen people that went back in 2007 that didn't attend the game. They stayed outside tailgating and watching it on TV. Definitely not my cup of tea, but people do it.

I'm sure LSU will have a good following but it won't rival the 2007 trip IMO. That was Saban's first game coaching against LSU and some of hype has FINALLY died down.

Not saying 'in' the stadium, but my friend manages a restaurant downtown and had their best weekend ever when TN came to town a few weeks ago. He thinks this will beat it b/c local news stations are billing it as the biggest game ever in Bryant Denny.

Tennessee always brings a huge number of fans to Tuscaloosa, and Alabama does the same to Knoxville. Its part of the fun of that rivalry. A lot of people go who don't have tickets, and there are visiting fans scattered all over the stadium. The only visiting team who routinely has more representation in Tuscaloosa than UT is Auburn, for obvious reasons. Of course most of them are only there for the day so hotels and restaurants and what not don't get the big payday. To answer the original question though, I believe LSU gets 10,000 visitor seats and I'm sure those will be filled, but I wouldn't expect many more than that in the stadium. I'd imagine there'd be a good amount of people without tickets in town though.

I just love the gameday atmosphere. Going to see Pretty Lights at the SAE house, see what Tuscaloosa/UA football is all about.

To tailgate and enjoy the atmosphere. Why would you not go unless you were infirm or had some sort of obligation? I have gone to BR without tickets several times for LSU/UA games.

Oh, and being a visiting fan on Gameday is great before the game, and better after IF you win.
