Any answer as to why.....

We can't get Dickson the ball? Are defenses keying in on him? It can't be crowton because he has shown the ability to use him alot. I'm thinkin defenses realize how much of a beast he his an are lockin down on him more.

I personally think this as well. Although he is now the best TE LSU has had.

We are having to use the tight end for blocking purposes in a max protect set inorder to help protect jj

Just kidding. Prob a little of what bzl328 said above, but I dont think Jefferson has that comfort zone or chemistry with Dickson for some reason. Dickson didnt get worse so its smthg to do with the new offensive philosophy, scheme, or QG situation.

it's had more to do with playcalling and JJ not throwing over the middle than anything IMO. we were in max protect last week on both TD passes, TT, Lafell, and Dickson were the only receivers in the routes, but obviously the play calls were for JJ to go deep first. I'd like to see him used more on bootlegs. that play where JJ fumbled woulda been a perfect chance to get it to Dickson if they'd given JJ the option to throw as well as run.

My main complaint with that call was there was no receiver in the play! Bootleg with a TE in the endzone is a GREAT CALL! Bootleg with NO pass option is RETARDED!!!

This would have worked perfect because there was no one even behind the defender that got to Jefferson. We have so many weapons being under used.

It appears we are reluctant to throw into the middle of the field where most the TE patterns go. As they get more comfortable with JJ we may see more TE throws.
