I truly believe it is one of the biggest hinderances that this offense has. It really seems to confuse JJ and much of the rest of the team. JJ's head is swimming. But, for him to improve as a QB, they need to call a play and allow him a checkoff if needed. If he makes a mistake, so be it.
Them looking to the sidelines, reminds me of the defense doing the same last year.
Sure, it can be done. But, it must be done timely. Our coaches wait too long. Last year it confused the shite out of the defense most of the time. Well this year, the offense looks the same way.

Will it fix all of our woes? No. But, IMO it would be a good start.

I love the Meerkat offense.

Not really, but thinking about Meerkats when LSU does that crap makes me chuckle for a very brief moment.

i like them looking at the sidelines. it takes the decisions out of jj hands, and puts in the coaches hands. if you noticed, tebow and the gators did the same thing.

the real problem is that the offensive line is playing like poo-poo right now. and crowton is not leaving any "hot routes" or dump offs for jj.

And that is what they have always done. When we get to the line we need to run the play, apparently this sideline stuff isn't working at all. I don't remember seeing that when we won national championships.

Looking to the sidelines has nothing to do with our lack of execution. We will not block or pass better if we drop this element.

We need better players and/or better coaching.

I don't think we need better player/coaching, the player we have are very talented, they play with no discipline, they lose all fundamentals when its game time.

And.......
We don't do it well at all. Would you suggest we continue trying to be like Florida?

dude, we're 6 games into the season with an offense that's getting worse by the game due to poor coaching, and miles finally say's that maybe something is wrong..i'd be amazed if there are any noticeable changes.

Dump it and run the play...it'll get the offense in a better rhythm.

In no way will that cure everything. But, it definately isn't helping this offense.
I know other teams do it. But, we seem to be terrible at it. And yes, I'm throwing it on the coaches. When your players are sitting there, begging the coaches to get the play in and the play doesn't get there until less than 5 secs to go. And then a complete clusterfrick happens, that doesn't help. Maybe it would have happened anyways. Who knows.

Our impotent offense has nothing to do with us looking at the sidelines. We are simply not executing, bottom line. JJ has absolutely ZERO pocket presence, and couple that with mediocre offense line at best, leads to what we are seeing on the field.

I disagree. When the QB gets a play with only 5-10 seconds on the play clock it causes confusion. IMO when they look to the sidelines and get a new play JJ has limited time to read the defense and realize where all his receivers are going to be in relation to the defense he is trying to read. I think this is where at least some of the offensive problems are happening.
