I'm the first to admit that I don't understand the finer points of offensive schemes: I've always payed much closer attention to defensive setups. So can someone with a little more knowledge explain whether JJ's 5 sacks were caused by:

1) effective coverage by Florida's secondary
2) JJ being unwilling or incapable of getting rid of the ball
3) some combination of the two

Him getting rid of the ball. Hes for the most part afarid to throw the ball downfield. Its almost like his guy has to be wide open for him to throw it to them.

So if it's primarily his inability to throw the ball, does that suggest he hasn't been coached well, or that perhaps he doesn't have the level of talent we all suspected, or maybe that he's still too young to start at QB?

JJ's main problem is he has little feel for most of the plays, and as was the case last year, this is getting worse as the year goes on because they keep trying to do the same stuff that hasn't worked.

IMO, the team needs to go back to using the huddle and simplify the offense. The huddle would give him a few more seconds to "internalize" the play. Dump all the 5-wide stuff and stick with an i-formation/shotgun with extra protection by the tight end and a running back, then let your receivers use the physical advantages the have most weeks to make plays.

Don't forget the O line has played much better in the last two games. You can't really blame them when JJ is dropping back 10 yards and making a sack easy.
