and then scrambles 1/2 second too late!!!

While I'm not calling for Lee, I do think this is a fair point: Lee already has a quicker release, a shorter drop (much, it seems anyway), and when he feels pressure he steps up into the pocket to gain another 1-2 seconds. JJ drops wayyy the hell back and when the pressure comes he either steps right into it or waits a bit long to take off... After the first few plays last night I thought this had been adressed : Maybe they told him if you got nothing take off sooner... But he seemed to regress after the first quater and a half!

Is this a fair assessment or am I being unfair?
And more importantly , it seems so simple to fix!!!!!!! Would it be as easy as it seems to get JJ to step up and take off sooner , or is it engrained in his play?
X 1000 IS IT?????

Step up in the pocket and get rid of the fricking ball on 4th n 1 instead of lose more yards!

if you step up you can just keep your eyes downfield, I think!

You just step up and you don't have to eye the rush,, better chance of finding a reciever...
