Crabtree finally caves

According to Schefter's Twitter page. Am on iPhone so I can't link at the moment.
6-year deal that can be voided into a 5 based on performance. He will be at the team's training facility today.
Wearing the #15 jersey today in celebration.

Hopefully, he caved.
It would set a bad precedent otherwise, and we could see more and more holdouts in the future.

Likely a compromise in some form, but there's no way Crabtree got the upper hand.
The Niners front office had every possible ounce of leverage. It was Crabtree and Parker who initiated the talks and went cross-country (without the Niners knowing initially). It's pretty much a given that the Niners had the upper hand. He was the only thing holding negotiations back.
The Niners would have no reason to cave. They are 3-1 and are favorites to win the division. Caving to Crabtree would give future Niner picks extra leverage. The FO recognized that to start. Crabtree was never going to win these negotiations, that's why it's a given that he caved.

The 49ers have been playing very well this season, and the worse thing that could happen is Crabby comin in and thinkin he is bigger than the organization and starting some locker room rifs. I wouldnt worry about this tooo much because Singletary gets his way, see Vernon Davis, and I hope he can be a good addition to this team. He should keep a low profile, work his arse off to make the team, and make his impact known on the field and not through his mouth and off the field stuff.

if, in fact, Crabtree was the one who caved, I love this. It could set a blueprint for other teams in the NFL to not give in to diva rookies who haven't proven jack shite

Peeps will hold out....nature of the game. The guys who want to get into camp will. Everyone knows what happens when you don't. He will be another case, GM's can point to and say.....see, he came in late and did shite or got hurt.

I don't know if he will this weekend. I would doubt it. I think he's for sure suited up against the Texans coming off of the bye next Sunday.
But I could see Singletary suiting him up this Sunday and telling him he wouldn't play...and then throwing him into the fire to test him if a fitting scenario would occur.

Crabtree has always had a solid work ethic. During OTAs when Singletary told Crabtree he couldn't practice due to his foot injury, Crabtree literally cried. He's been itching for action all off-season. The only thing keeping him away was the contract dispute.
