Concussions are scary, but he's a warrior and I don't see him keeping himself safe or his take-the-high-road, do-the-right-thing, call-timeouts-in-a-blowout, kick-a-field-goal-as-time-expires head coach keeping him off the field during the one game that has been circled as their biggest challenge of the regular season.

You fail at reading comprehension. Go back and re-take the LEAP test. This was a COLUMN...indicating one man's opinion as to whether or not Tebow should play. Nowhere does it indicate what may or may not happen.

Meyer and UF wouldn't want that lawsuit.

he shouldn't have been playing at the point in the game anyway. they were up by a solid amount. blame the concussion on urban trying to run up the score. it was just dumb

Tebow will sign a waiver.

If he starts circumsizing people on the sideline, I don't think he should be playing.

Yeah...the original poster should change the title of the thread. I thought there was going to be a link to something that quoted Meyer as saying "we are leaning against Tebow playing"...but it was just a column instead.

It also says LSU's defense is enormous and fast

No one will ever accuse Les of doing this with JJ.

I have a feeling that Meyer will play this very close to the vest. IF he decides not to play Tebow, we probably won't know until he walks out in street clothes. He will want to make LSU practice and plan for as many scenarios as possible.

He can do the right thing for his team, his career, his legacy and his future earnings. He can play Tebow against LSU. Or he can put the interests of Tebow ahead of all those things. Meyer can tell him it's too soon to play after suffering one of the more disturbing football concussions in years.

Duh... Meyer's a conniving little shite. Tebow is playing... well, at least until he gets hammered.

And that's why Mack Brown took Vince out of game when they were blowing teams out...

I don't think he should play from a medical standpoint, but I know Tebow will suit up if given clearance. Either way, a UF offense with Brantley is still better than LSU's offense from what I have seen this season.

First off, END THE SPECULATION! No one, at this point, knows if Tebow will play or not. He is 2 days removed from a serious concusion, no doctor in his right mind would give him the green light to play today, tomorrow, & probably Saturday. The kid has 2 weeks to get cleared & healthy & I have a feeling, Meyer will NOT be posting Tim Tebow medical updates to let LSU know how he is doing, why should he?

Some folks are acting like Tebow not playing is basically sealing a win for the Tigers-NOT! At least with Tebow, we KNOW what to prepare for. If he doesn't play, then what? His replacement, Brantley, ain't no square peg in a round hole. He BROKE Tebow's high school records in FL. The kid is VERY talented & VERY unknown to defensive coordinators around the league. So.....is it better to have Tebow go against the Tigers or an unknown TALENTED kid who we have very little film & info on?

No matter who plays, Tebow or Brantley, LSU better be prepared for an all out fight. UF isn't just about Tebow, they run & they play defense too. All of the speculation about he will play, he won't play is just silly, unless you are a doctor, coach, or player on the UF team beacause they are the ONLY folks who will know before kickoff-or pregame warm ups. No matter who lines up behind center, LSU will need to bring it & bring it hard & often.
