I'll be staying the night in Atlanta thursday on my way to the game. Can anyone recommend a good casual place to go to after my drive up there? I'll also need a lunch spot for friday as well. Staying downtown at the Westin, something within walking distance would be a plus.

Friday for lunch, I would go to The Varsity for if you have never been.

This is very good..

For other places depending on your budget consider "Prime" at Lenox. If your seated before 5:30 you get your steak at half price. I know this is early, but for prime beef you cant beat it. Try the Wisconsin jalapeno cheese grits, frickin awesome. Atlanta has lots of good choices, and is particularly strong on steaks, mexican, and asian cuisine.
