Homefield advantage, or having an extra week to prepare?

We have both for LSU.
Of course home field hasn't been much of an advantage in our series.

Yeah, you (Bama) have a week off before us and UF has their bye before us. The scheduling gods love us this year.

I'm pretty sure this extra prep time will result in two beatings, after which the national media start drinking the Rant Kool-Aid about how we are a sad program in terrible decline. (That's horsecrap, btw.) We're average this year at best, but I hope we will still surprise someone, prep time or not.

I think home field is the far bigger advantage for us. Our guys tend to play better in Tiger Stadium.

They are both pretty large advantages. In this case, I'd think Florida's week off is huge because it gives them time to get healthy and prepare. If LSU had a cupcake game this week it wouldn't matter as much that Florida has some extra time, but LSU having to go to Georgia combined with Florida's bye is a bigger advantage to Florida than LSU's homefield. Also, Urban Meyer has never lost at Florida coming off a bye week, so I think he enjoys it.
