Andouille sausage in Houston??

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get some good Andouille sausage in Houston?

don't know houston that well, but seems like it might be worth a drive east to SWLA to stock up one saturday. Pretty easy drive.

Try Heberts on Richmond just inside 610.

Agree with the Hebert's recommendation...it is a franchise of the original in Maurice (outside Lafayette). Same meats, boneless stuffed chickens, the works. I lived in H-town for 3 yrs and they have good stuff. Inside 610 West loop on richmond.

The Specs in midtown carries Poche's, I think that is about the best your gonna get in Houston.

If you have the time to wait for a shipment; I reccomend ordering form Jacobs @ LINK

I beleive they are the only USDA approved shipper of andouille in LaPlace.

I would remove the synthetic casing before cooking with it. Really good stuff.
