Wow...This hasn't been discussed before. Dude get over it. The name has changed to ULL. That would be University of Louisiana at Lafayette. How old are you? Is it that difficult to get used to a new name? Things change man. Do you still call Windows Vista "MS-DOS"? This is soooo old. Why does this piss you off so much? Just retarded. Get over it man. LSU is still the flagship university here. wow...

You know, I live in Lafayette (graduated LSU in 2001) and I do call it ULL. In fact, I never really thought about the implications until listening to radio coverage of the Washington game when one commentator said to the other, "Dude, I know you didn't just call it University of Louisiana on an LSU broadcast." I mean, I like ULL, and I always pull for them when they're not playing us, but I can't stand their inferiority complex.

They changed it to a two letter acronym so the alum could remember it...three letters was just too much to ask.
